How To Install Your Wall Sticker
It's quick and easy to install your wall sticker, please follow our instructions.
If you have ordered one of our vinyl stickers (non fabric), they are slightly thinner and may require two people to handle.
Simply
- Find a place on your wall to place them.
- Make sure it's completely smooth, dry and hasn't been painted in at least 3 months. Please also check if the paint used is washable or wipeable as this can affect adhesion (see below).
- Peel off your sticker gently with two hands. Please be careful with the smaller stickers as if rushed they can tear.
- Slowly apply, smoothing over with your hands, an applicator tool or a credit card to remove any bubbles.
- Make sure the stickers don't get stuck together as they don't come back apart.
- Gently remove and reposition if any issues.
If you have ordered one of our fabric wall stickers, they are slightly easier to handle and can be placed using the same above instructions. They are also slightly easier to remove and reposition a number of times.
General Hints and Tips
-
Our wall stickers can be stuck to any clean, dry and completely smooth surfaces. Please avoid any walls with texture.
-
Our wall stickers will stick best to walls painted with normal matt emulsion. Some glossy / silk paints, wipeable, washable paints or or ‘special effect’ paints (e.g. light reflecting paints) can be more difficult to apply. If you are planning to stick to any of these surfaces, we recommend applying an adhesive spray/spray tac, although please note it may make it difficult to remove the sticker.
-
Our stickers can be applied on top of wallpaper, but the stickers may not be removable.
-
Avoid applying a sticker directly above a heat source or a very cold room.
-
Take your time, especially when peeling off the backing sheet and applicator.
-
We recommend waiting three months after a wall is painted before installation.
- Smaller stickers can be installed by a single person.
